these steering box marks, where are they?
« on: 19 April 2010, 15:51:55 »

currently under the car checking and measuring before i fit new front shocks.

both front wherels are elevated on stands and while under the car i can move the steering quite freely by hand.

pitman arm points directly forward with steering wheel straight, lock to lock is even, seems to be same amount of threads showing on track rod ends.

But where are the marks on the steering box? cant see any from undernieth and nothing lo line up looking from the top it seems.

anyone?

ps, looking at the center tie rod i cant see what could be differant on the lowered sports chassis model that could be differant, as Mark said in my other post. Strange.

My understanding is that they are on the steering column as it enters the steering box from inside the car, i.e. under the dashboard and that the column needs to be disconnected to see them.
