Thermostat
« on: 23 April 2010, 17:32:17 »

Just had my 2.5 in for rocker gaskets, HBV and checking why water is being lost. Apparently water leak is due to faulty thermostat. Anyone know how much these cost? I assume proper VX parts are cheap for this?

Anyone know how much VX charge for the bits?

Mechanic will speak to me Monday and want the car done asap so will probably go with proper VX part but if a reputable 3rd party can supply to them quickly (eurocarparts? unipart? etc....?) and they are much cheaper then..... Basically I want to know what to do before they call me on Monday :)

If you're in a hurry, have TC, and your dealer has them in stock, I paid around £45 for stat/housing/o-rings last month.  Then watched our very own Rick Astley lookalike swear at Goldie's B-Bolt ;D
