I am thinking of swapping my 4 pot 2.2 engine with a 6 pot 2.6 engine. What would i be looking in terms of the work to be done. Is buying a new engine enough?
What else would i require? Does the gearbox in the car need to be swapped as well?
Any comments appreciated.

Well the front axel is different for a start. You'll need all the V6 engine wiring, ecu etc. If you want to keep the AC you'll need to swap all the pipe work.
Manual box should cope but you'll need to change the flywheel and clutch, diff will have a different ratio.

Oh you might even need the V6 instruments and your insurance company will take an interest

Bu a cheap V6 will be a much better bet. A friend of mine is selling his 2.6 for £1200.00 at the moment, see for sale section

There is a lot of work needed, so much so even where you are based i would look at sourcing a 2.6 with the car already attached...
