Does any one know if the cat on a 3.2 manual special is the same as on the normal 3.2 and were is the best place to get them as the dealer wants £817 each >:( >:(

Don't know if the are the same.

they're the same, the only thing that makes your car 'special' is the manual gearbox for Plod & generally white in colour  ;) :y

in TC book it lists a different part number for 3.2 special cats, so guess they are actually different!

Dealer gave me the following part numbers and they are for recon units

R1620113
R1620114

At £817 each and they will offer me 12.5% off with trade card. :(

seem to remember down pipes are different too, hence huge cost difference. He has been quoted right as i've seen the different 3.2 cat types listed in the book  :-/

IIRC they are different because the Lambda's are in a slightly different location on the X Police ones, could be something to do with the manual gearbox.

IIRC manual Senators had different down pipes due to the manual gearbox, so it seems possible that the manual Omega does too.

dont know what make different if is manual or auto for cats???
done conversion on mine 3.2 elite to manual and dont have any problems with cars

the book ive got is very old,but sometimes you can get a bargin with old numbers,it does not state weather manual or auto(bearing in mind the plod had both)police spec lh 13125593, rh 13125592 these or for front pipes i ASSUME with the price they are, they would have the cats on hth  :y :y :y
