I think I asked this before, but whats the best way to 'disable' the SAI pump - mine makes a hell of a racket like the bearings are on the way out, and since I understand I don't need it particularly, I'd like to turn it off. Can I just reach under the wing and pull an electrical connector?
(can you take them apart and grease the bearings / maintain at all?)

As you say, reach up underneath the front nearside wing corner (may have to wrestle with the wheel arch liner a bit) and unplug.

I don't think it's the bearings, but air leaking out under high pressure.  I posted a link in this thread which explains the fault, and how to fix it.
