Do 2.5.v6 have cam shells and if so is there much of an issue with them as mine seem to rattle when warm at 3000 rpm?

Cam bearings are machined directly in the head and don't generally give trouble. Rattles in the top end are likely down to tired or clogged hydraulic lifters.
