Install pipe for vacuum gauge

does anyone have any ideas as to the best point in the engine vacuum system to tap in for a vacuum gauge on a 3.2? After all the vx engines use vacuum power to support quite a lot of vital  systems not least of all multi ram induction on the v6   One use I used to use a gauge for was to read inlet manifold depression while driving on carbueretors to assist in fuel economy, thing is I suppose this would be OK for a manual gearchange,and mine is auto. Any how my understanding is a good high vacuum reading = efficient engine.Could be a real boon when towing with a manual.I'll wait for old fashioned git type comments, ;D ;D but would still like to know where to tee in. :y :y

Usual place is the feed pipe to the SAI solenoid but as a 3.2 doesn't have that I suppose you could use the feed to the front multiram and a tee piece.

Yep, just add another T piece where the vacuum systems are fed from the brake servo hose.

Not sure if it's still a useful economy indicator on a modern car.

Don't know if it's the same on later omegas, but on ours there's a vac pipe going through into the cabin to power/control the heater functions.  Goes through in the same area as the coolant pipes to the matrix.

It's after the reservoir, though, so it'll be a constant vacuum rather than following the manifold vacuum.

There's an easy way into the passenger compartment above the accelerator pedal. The hole where the throttle cable would have gone through if it were not drive-by-wire has a blanking grommet in it.

A'ha I needed to know a positive manifold vacuum tap in point as well as an accessory tap in point, and the now unused accelarator cable hole is perfect, as I intend to park the gauge temporally while checking things out  in the little drop down locker at r/hand of the dash. thanks once more, it will be a week or two before I can get to doing this, and also need to get a vacuum gauge. I'll post up and let you know as things develop
