Fault code 0430
« on: 08 August 2010, 18:52:43 »

EML came on over the weekend

I have fault code P0430 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold (Bank 2)

What does this mean?

I also have 1614 (key transponder) - but starts fine, and 1700 transmission service request.  I assume these are normal and wouldn't cause the EML to come on alone?

Ask bro to get his welder out to sort the 0430. Lamdas need moving - serves you right for buying a 3.2 :P

Thanks Jamie - I'll add the job to his list...  I have been reading around the subject but my welding is worse than yours!

And it's a 2.6

Blimey, your welding must be appalling then ;D

The fault is more prevailent on 3.2s, normally 2.6 owners get away with it...

Have you changed fuel type/make at all or run it down to empty. Is light now off? If so see how long it takes to recur.

Familiar territory for many of us.

No obvious changes in fuel type except I did chuck some injector cleaner in it last week?

I'll get it re-set and see if it re-occurs.  Thanks everyone.
