Buying / leasing a car
« on: 07 January 2008, 09:57:59 »

Hi all,
I'm interested in finally getting a decent car and considering something along the lines of a Chrysler 300C Touring or maybe a BMW 530d Touring. Does anyone have any experience of car leasing companies? Is it worth it, or would you just buy one?

Really depends on your needs...

We used to lease cars, but got them cheap through her work (she used to work at Rover in the Aerospace and BMW era, then Landrover in the Ford era).

Cheaper to buy an older car outright.

i looked into leasing a 300C for business use.

worked out about £500 per month, and that was lease only, there was servicing on top of that and there were penalties for exceeding 10,000 miles pa.
then there is insurance, you have to tell them it is a lease car, and that sends the insurance skyward, especially if it is business use.

I decided to stick with what i have and then go and buy something newer when the time is right......

the only advantage i caqn see with leasing is you dont have the hassle of offloading the car once the lease is up

leasing is only good for people who do low miles, less than 14k a year... anything else and its not worth it.

Company cars are also taxed on the co2 they pump out.... if you do limited miles then its a good choice, but it depends if servicing is included... if not might as well buy you own.

Yeah! I have three rental cars and running my business very smoothly. I did hire from http://www.frontierleasing.co.uk/ Frontier Vehicle Leasing provides a complete vehicle acquisition and management service to businesses throughout the UK. It’s really very good and reliable for hiring cars. Hope you will get best deal.
Best of luck!
