hi everyone just disconnected maf sensor and started, tick over dead straight plug back in and all over the place
would this be my problem

More than likely.  Might sound daft, but remove the sensor, wipe it in your shirt and plug it back in.  That's what I did, and it worked for me.

While you are there, make sure you havent disconnected the air feed into the airbox, check the filter is positioned correctly etc.  Might sound pointless, but its best to be thorough.

EDIT:  Was your old Air Filter (if you replaced it) exceptionally dirty?  If so, the nice new filter will be allowing a lot more air through.... the ECU will need a little time to recognise that this is now 'normal' and adapt.

no pretty clean we service it about twice a year 1st time shes been a bugger.

just cleaned like u said started it was still fluttering unplugged it and it steadied itself its got to be that elbow

replaced oil / filter , pollen , air ,vauxhall did fuel for me plugs and gear oil

May be a pure coincidence that your MAF has failed at the same time as a service.  :-/

I'd be inclined to plug the MAF back in, and take it for a blast around the block (if you havent already) and see if a good old Italian Tune-Up doesn't ruffle it's feathers.
