Parking on yellow lines
« on: 02 October 2006, 18:43:44 »

Believe it or not peeps I've just seen a report on the regional news about a driver having a parking ticket quashed, because it was proved using photographic evidence that the yellow line had been painted under his car whilst it was parked :o atraffic warden then subsiquently slapped a ticket on it.Is there no level that those barstewards will stoop to to achieve quotas >:(

I was in the local newsagents a couple of weeks ago when a guy rushed in and said "Do you mind if I jump the queue as I'm parked on double yellow white lines"....... :-?

Sackings too good for em, think RMcB had the right idea in his poll, involving rubber gloves and chainsaws.

Disgraceful. Outrageous and unacceptable. What has the world come to? Jumping the queue in a newsagent. Tuh! Whatever next?

How's this for politics speak. (From Metro 3/10/06) "Salford City Council admitted its contractors had "been creative in completing this job"".

In other words, they couldn't be arsed to come back later to finish the job so thought "Sod it, we'll paint under the car, his problem not ours!"

I don't know whether they should be sacked or promoted for demonstrating ingenuity and improvisation.

I suppose the guy is lucky they didn't paint the lines OVER his car! [smiley=laugh.gif]
