found the omega hard to start when low of diesel so stripped out the tank unit, plenty of crap in it, cleaned all out and test pump in a diesel bath, starts and stops and takes notions, so in need of a new one,where is cheapest place to source a ne one

see one on ebay £60, take it a petrol fuel pump runs at a much higher pressure?

I remember reading someone post that they weren't interchangeable between petrol & diesel (probably for the reason you say, I'd imagine)

yea although, like any motor they have a good excess fuel return so wud it matter

The diesel ones are prone to failure, and are different to petrol.

Some people have had success by cleaning them up.
