That's crazy money, but I partly understand why. My local fast fit place put his price up from 185 to 280 over the space of a year, when I asked why he said that some installs are taking a lot longer than planned for because of rusted bolts and needing to retap the cats.

On the flip side 500 is taking the pi$$ as my local Powerflow guy only quoted me 485 for a full custom stainless system.

FWIW Vaux original equipment Trade Club Prices:

Silencer and centre pipe 2.5/2.6/3.0/3.2 saloon LH 93181157 £80.51 (retail £126)
Silencer and centre pipe 2.5/2.6/3.0/3.2 saloon RH 93181162 £83.33 (retail £130)
Silencer and tail pipes 3.0 saloon from '98 to '99 93181188 £110.00 (retail £173)
All excluding VAT.

Don't know your engine size or body shape tho these will just be a guide but you will certainly get your £20 AutoBahn Stormers membership back on this lot!  And it will sound original.

Got a Longlife stainless job for just over £300 fitted, and they set the sound to exactly how I wanted it...... I went to them because like you, I was getting stupid quotes for the mild steel jobs, with the exception  of Eternal, who would have been my second choice  :y

I paid less than £100 for full system back to the cat (3 Parts) delivered from the fatherland.
formulae 1 fitted it for £30
Been on the car for 6 months getting an extra 50 miles to a tank compared to my old one.
GOOD VALUE

I have an eternal system for the last year now and it is FANTASTIC!!!!

I ordered it from Eternal's own site (not ebay) and it was delivered within 5 working days and then my local independant VX garage fitted it for £30!!! Sorted.

Absolutely NO point in getting anything else.
