Re-mapping ECU
« on: 04 October 2010, 22:17:47 »

Has anybody heard of Black Code they say for £299 for cars after 1999.  They will increase power and torque by 35 per cent by Re-mapping the ECU.

If you check their site they only offer that for the 2.0 DTi & 2.2 Dti .. I thought you drive a petrol from your profile ??

Mind you .. I'm no expert on Omega Diesels .. but this just looks wrong to me ..

2000 - 2005 2.0L Dti
1999 - 2002 2.2L Dti

??  I always thought the 2.2 came after the 2.0  ??

And the quote is UP TO 35% .....  you might only get 1% ... still be legal advertising .. :)

The only way you could increase the power of your 2.2 by 35% for 299 would be if you could have a 3.2 engine fitted for that amount :D :D

Personally i don't think it would be worth it :y

Yes its for Diesels
and for my corsa 1.2 petrol. Going to inquire to see how much increase i can get, or may be cheaper getting a diesel  .

There is no way a remap of any naturally aspirated engine will give you anything close to 35% more power or torque!

Avoid like the plague, IMHO.
