miss-fire at low revs high load
« on: 24 October 2010, 20:34:34 »

Had a misfire on the car for a few days, quite bad when cold gets better as the car warms up. Then on Friday when I got to work got low coolant warning. So have now changed a leaky HBV (arent they fun to do). Still the inlets and breathers have had a good clean while it was in bits so time well spent I guess.
Anyway, onto the missfire, I havent read the codes yet ( I know I should) as I assumed the leaky HBV was interfering with the DIS. Will this need replacing or will it dry out and be fine. Miss-fire is only noted now at low revs high load and seems fine at all other times, feels like TC is cutting in, even tho it is off. Hope this makes sense, I am not happy with electrickery, am a mechanic not a dog ******.
Many thanks    Al
