Sat Nav
« on: 05 November 2010, 22:50:33 »

Can anyone tell me if the sat nav fitted to my 2002 2.6 elite has the ability to work with postcodes rather than town and street? My impression is that it doesn't but maybe if I buy an update CD?  :-?

got a 2010 disc and no post code facility.

just got to guess the right area/town for the road you want.

(still less distracting /annoying than a tom tom)

my 'other sat-nav' normally stuck to my screen was usurped last week cos the bugger just wouldn't turn on. Fortunately I could remember enough of where I was going to find it in the trusty CARin   :y

Gay gonks?  ;D

I find with post code input that I never trust it, or what I've typed anyway, only needs to be one digit out and your in the wrong end of the country...

....and ncdc narrows down the address with every input selected so it's not that many more presses and more reliable ime. Some post codes are a fuddled anyway.

You're supposed to take note of your surrounding as well as looking at the sat-nav screen!  ::)  ::)  ::)
