Apologies for repeated threads about my rather misfire, cleaned the ICV and changed the leads today to no avail.

I can hear a noise when switching off the engine that sounds like something depressurising and a similar noise when it is running. Coming from either the breather box on top of plenum or the crank sensor connection area( misfire started after changing the sensor) Every pipe I can see is connected and I cant see any splits. is it a case of spraying carb cleaner all over the area and listening for rev increase? Looks like someone bypassed the vaccum tank too for some reason too

Are you sure you haven't got a leak between the plenium and the inlet manifold?  Perhaps it needs new gaskets? :-/ :-/

You have a vac leak in the servo pipe from plenum most likely, certainly it's a vac leak in the system somewhere.

Remove the vac pipe plenum to brake servo from the plenum end, where it rubs on the ac pipe next to bulk head, it's most likely worn through there, or one of the smaller pipes to vac tank in bulk head by pollen filter under scuttle.

Defo a vac leak certainly.

With the engine running spray around the vac pipes lightly with carb cleaner ... when the engine note suddenly increases you have found the leak as the carb cleaner has been sucked in and used as additional unmetered fuel. 

Fix the leak, wipe the engine down with paper towel ... voila ... fixed and clean engine ...  seeeemples ..
