Seatbelt jamming
« on: 14 December 2010, 14:37:19 »

I have a problem with my seatbelt being stuck...

When I pull it, I hear the mechanism catching, but, not releasing, no matter how gently I pull the seatbelt...

Any ideas???

Removed the lower trim and rolled the mechanism, which seems to have freed it up....

Not a bad 10 minute job really...

I had this & was able to free it just like you did. However it was not a permanent fix & in the end I had to replace the belt (not hard to do).

I figured that it was just a short term issue, but, if it will last a few more weeks, then I'll look at changing it...   :-/

Yours will be the black seatbelts, they are ten a penny so not worth trying to mend, as said they are a doddle to change.   :y
