Wheel/suspension issue
« on: 31 December 2010, 01:41:42 »

Was driving home tonight when I heard a sound that sounded much like a flat tyre, wasnt... Checked tyre pressures all pretty much bang on. Noise continued, had a quick visual check (at night) and cant spot any potential culprits... Any ideas?

Have also checked wheel nuts and they are fine too

Could be a wheel bearing, could be a pulley or tensioner bearing. It might be nothing but road noise.
I would have a good nights sleep and look at it when you can see where the noise is coming from.

What does a flat tyre sound like  :-/. Had a flat at 70+ sounded a bit like driving on a rumble strip I suppose but higher pitched.

Check the tyre tread, especially the inside edges...  :-/
