heater pipe internal seal

i disconnected the heater pipe and lost one of the internal locking seals , dose it matter that i do not have one as i placed the pipe back on there have no leaks do i really need one ?

Is this at the matrix end or in the engine bay?

You mean the green ring then.... doesn't matter. I throw them away! Just make sure the slider is locked into position and forget about it :y

yeah thats right i was looking for it like a mad man  ::)  then i just gave up and drove it for a few miles no leaks and then just went out to london and back so seems ok thanks for advice.
