Just spotted this on eBay and i've messaged the seller as i am after one and he replied:

Hi Paul,
This has come off a 2.5 tdi omega v registered, newest shape.(mk 3) hope this helps you

If i had the thing in front of me that would be helpful lol... Plus i can't be bothered trying to explain to someone what all that means just for my own benefit on finding out if it'll fit my car 

I suppose i was looking for a simple yes or no from the elders that know the history of the range

if both cars are facelifts it should fit unless the later cars changed again when the 2.6/3.2 came out

Christ yes!  Good point Rob!  Sometimes the woods are not clearly visable

He`s busted a few Omega`s so he probably know`s what he`s on about........even though he calls the facelift a Mark 3
