Help to identify my car!!!
« on: 21 February 2011, 16:57:54 »

Hi,

I have seen on this forum quotes about facelift, pre-facelift and mini facelift,,,,,, Can you tell me the difference between Facelift and Mini-facelift?

Also, My car is and ex-police 3.0 MV6 2000MY, Can anybody tell me what the standard spec's should be as far as trim goes? Plus anything else that you can think of?

Many thanks,

David.

2000 is the cross over year.

Electric window buttons on door = facelift on the centre console = mini-facelift.

Ex-police will be a bit poverty spec, HID's and thats about it, maybe a LSD diff. Otherwise thats it!

A 2000MY car will be a facelift.  A 2000 registered car could potentially be a 1999MY (prefacelift).

Plod. Base spec. Look at GLS spec, then remove some bits ;D

Thanks for all the replys.

What I was asking is... What seats should be in it? I seem to have Elite Seats.
What door cards, carpet and roof liner???? I think I have base spec' cards, my carpet is black and the roof liner is cut with two hoofing big plastic panels clipped in.
I also have a speaker in the over-head console, screw holes in the trim round the radio and missing trim and air ducting in the centre console.....
Not sure what my aproach is going to be, full/mild mod or restore or, resto-rod/sleeper?
