Put the new plugs in :) - Do you get any blue smoke out of the exhaust when running?

I think you may have been right in one of your previous replies Tunnie :)
Like I said before, due to the old cam cover gasket leaking the plug wells were filled up with Oil.

I said that the amount of Oil that I was unable to soak up with old kitchen towel was not enough to soak the ends of the plugs as badly as what they were.

I think I was wrong  :-[ :-[

I say this because before I put the new Bosch plugs in, I put the old one's back in and then removed them again to see if the bottoms were soaked in Oil.........they were'nt!!!!! :y :y
There was only a faint layer of oil on them which I'm pretty sure came off the thread of the plug wells which I could'nt clean.

So new plugs have now been inserted and car taken for a spin and I'm over the moon to report that my new cam cover gasket is not leaking.

Thanks to your excellent step by step guide I have auctualy done a really good job  :y :y :y
The most elaborate mechanical work I had ever done previously was an oil and filter change so I'm feeling pretty Smug  8-) 8-)

Just to finish off I'd like to say that the reason why It's sometimes's taken me ages to reply to your posts Tunnie is because my Laptop is broke so I have had to keep popping up to my local library to use their computers.

Worth it though  :y :y

Glad to hear it went well, cam cover on 4 pots is a very satisfying little job  :)

Your on the road now, once you've done something like that you'll have the confidence to attack other jobs  :y
