Radio help
« on: 09 April 2011, 22:12:23 »

I've recently changed my battery and since then I only had radio and not cd so I went to instal the cd code and I've somehow managed to lock the entire unit. I have the code for the cd but I don't have a radio code. Is this a standard code or do I need a set code????

I have to do 460 miles tomorrow and it's going to be one boring journey without the radio!

No, I still have 6 attempts left but the code I have for the cd don't make the radio work. I've since removed the unit and got all the serial numbers off it but now it just
Lights up and does nothing. It doesn't even say safe on the display like it used to. Is this because it's not shaved in the cradle properly or is it knackered!

Wrong attempts at entering the code increase the wait time each time. Seems like you need to get help from the likes of DaveDND for a code for your radio.  ;)

what radio is it ??
recheck your connections on the rear of the unit and make sure they are seated properly
with ignition on switch on radio and leave for an hour, switch off then go through the process of inputing your radio code/cd code (if you have them) if you dont have the radio code drop davednd a pm with all the details of your radio he might be able to help and supply you with a code  :y
still dont know how you could lock yourself out of the radio whilst inputing cd code though  :-?

The radio is a CCRT 700 with separate multichanger. The unit lights up but it doesn't show up on the display so even if I had the code I can't see it to enter it.

Dave is able to supply you a code for the radio without the need to send it to him - obvioulsy for a fee.  ;) ;)
