CHALLENGE . Find me something to buy.
« on: 26 January 2008, 14:25:17 »

Right....

By wednesday morning  8am , i HAVE to be fully equipped with a vehicle , taxed, tested, and running reliably....  (School run followed by working on Site in Fulham.....  )

come hell , high water, rain , snow, planet killing asteroids or whatever.

Budget, top whack , absolutely no further, and MUST include at least 8 weeks , prefer longer,  road tax...  , £1800 CASH.

Preferences.
NO Older than 1998. No more than say 150K with history

Omega Elite Estate , Pref 3.0/3.2 with ALL the trimmings, inc Sat Nav
( eg a direct replacement for my poorly Elite which JamesV6CDX is having on monday. )
lower mileage and history is as important as age....   for miggy's if it ain't got Xenon/HID lights , I'm not keen.

Or Any other V6 omega estate considered.

OR

any other V6 Estate or MPV. .
\

i'd consider a 4 pot alternative or diseasel ONLY if nothing else turns up, or they have ultra reliable reputations, full approved service record, and a page 3 model free of charge.,

in the unlikely event that anyone proposes a V8, they'd be looked at cheerfully ;) , but SWMBO is looking at running costs with an evil glint in her eye...

I'm asking because you lot usually have a wealth of alternative resources other than just Autotrader, Ebay, or Fish4.

and I have limited time to spend looking ....   heavy work and family commitments this weekend.

HELP !!!!

1999 S reg Omega 2.5 CD of any interest?? Not got the toys and needs an EGR gasket (although still runs ok with emmisions below MOT level) but will have full MOT on Monday...can tax for 6 months too and have to come to your house next week to tow your old car to James's lol Can always swap a load of the stuff off your old one easy enough...alloys cruise etc

Only failed MOT on bulbs, wiper blade and headlight aim...

Has new exhaust, new indicator bulbs!, FSH etc

I'll bear it in mind Chris...   thanks...   I MAY have solved the issue, but we'll see...

update.,

BECAUSE I'm panicking, and have an absolutely set in stone deadline , I've put a deposit on a car in Sheffield.....

Now I just have to figure out how to get to Sheffield in a limited time frame...

Late V Reg , just sub 100K, FSH, 3.0 Mini-facelift Elite auto Estate. in black...  leathers and all the toys...

err basically my old car , but newer, on a V plate.

they had it up for @£1800 , I knocked £200 off it for pure cheek, (eg by asking "intensely" )

if once I've viewed it and tested it,  I don't want it, they'll refund the deposit.

Now then, About getting to bloody Sheffield......
