advice needed on 3.0 v6 exhaust
« on: 22 May 2011, 17:29:57 »

hi all, i need a new exhaust back box and i was wondering if its possible to put on a performance back box in place of a standard. i have 2 pipes running down the car to the back box so my question is, - could i put inline a 2-1 Y piece into the exhaust pipe just before the back box then have a single entry pipe into a universal performance back box or would this mess up back pressure etc. any advice greatly recieved on this.

many thanks

Not sure the question makes sense?

Performance wise, you will struggle to beat the standard setup without decatting (and in my experience with decatted Omegas (limited), that actually kills performance).

Why the need to restrict it per backbox, any exhaust company should be able to supply a twin inlet one....
