Omega 2.5 DTI (2002) - P1700 code
« on: 18 June 2011, 13:42:14 »

The engine is vibrating quite strong from time to time while idling.
Today we took the car for fuel and air filter replacement, and asked the shop worker to
check the engine for errors - only two of them were found:
P1700 - (probably Smart Drive Control, Correction Volume Too Great/High)
P0380 - Glow plug heater circuit a malfunction
The shop guy can't say anything about the said P1700 error. I've tried to find something
on the net, but there are no intelligible answers..

Maybe some of you has had similar problems before?

Thanks a lot!

Assuming it's an automatic, it's a gearbox service request. This can be caused by a flat battery (sometimes) or if the ATF hasn't been changed then this would be advisable ;)
