Missing Electrical Plug
« on: 18 July 2011, 17:20:21 »

After an enjoyable Head Gasket Replacement!!! the engine ran better than it's done for some time, however I cant trace the plug for a 3 pin socket(wire colours are Black,Brown/Blk and Brown/white) which runs from the rear of the trunking down the o/side of the head. The lead is only short 3-4 inches but I can't find it's mate...The car/spanner light comes and goes but there are no fault codes showing on my reader which I thought would give me a clue. Any advice welcomed - Cheers

There's a guide re adding photo's but you need to host your photo at somewhere like Photobucket/box and link to here from there ......  :-? ;D

Thanks Andy B
Have just tried that but photobucket  seems to be a "open site" like Twitter/facebook and I'm not into that sort of stuff !!! surely there must be a simple way of converting JPEG etc files to the img files which seem to be needed on a wonderful and important site  like this??? The image ICON above and the help file is not overly helpful. Regards  Neddy

You can't upload images directly - you have to host them (jpg, gif, bmp etc) somewhere (public, as you say) and link to them. [ img ] is just a shorthand way of saying "I want to insert this image which is hosted elsewhere, here is the address for it".

Panic over - found the prodigal plug, it was from the rear ex sensor. It's strange that it didn't show up on my code reader but there we are. The hardest bit has been trying to transfer photo's, even with photobucket it seems so tricky - still haven't a clue - whats wrong with  copy and paste, so simple!!!

Thanks all anyway.

Open Photobucket. Hover over desired pic, in the dropdown click on IMG code (box by the side will say "copied"). Back onto OOF, right click, paste, job done
