Can drivers door be adjusted?
« on: 21 July 2011, 19:40:31 »

The dirvers door on my Elite closes but it sits a few mm further out than that of the rear door not does it close as cleanly as my passenger door. Dont get me wrong its closed but you can see that it could close just that little bit more.
When driving along it is also very evident by the road sound that it could close just a little bit more also as it would appear its not properly sealed shut.

Can the door be adjusted to close better?

Ive already fitted a new door mech / catch and striker and the rubbers and seals are undamaged.

Yet another annoying glitch that infuriates me cos its not right.

It is possible to adjust (bend) the hinges but your problem is more likely to be accident damage to the 'B' pillar, I've swapped and changed a few Vx, doors and generally they fit straight on, I've only ever had to adjust the open 'stop' point.
