Question re. maintenance guide abbrev.
« on: 06 August 2011, 12:34:42 »

Sorry to ask such a trivial question but, reading some of the excellent maintenance guides it refers to non DBW cars - what does this mean?

Thanks  :y

Refers to throttle operated by cable as opposed to DBW (drive by wire) which is electronically controlled

DBW stands for Drive By Wire.
This refers to the fact that there is no mechanical link, or accelerator cable, between the accelerator pedal and the throttle body.
