Door plastic trim removal
« on: 16 September 2011, 13:19:52 »

Hi all, can't find a post on this.

Mini facelift elite doors. I have the wood effect plastic trim, which I want to remove. Do I have to take the door card off or are they just clipped into place?

TIA :y

Yes. IIRC they're riveted on.

Not too dificult to remove the door card, hardest bit is removing the red/orange tab in the lock.  There's a guide somewhere  :y

Easy enough. Remove doorcard, 10mm drill bit to remove "splayed" collar on plastic rivet, re-fit with 6mm washerhead self-tappers
