Dumped Direct line last year I had a no fault accident, they lost two lots of   important paperwork witness statements etc, and then took six months to sort out the claim. Its cost them though they have lost another two car policies, my home contents policy, and another six car policies of friends and relatives. I have always held in distain claim management companies but if I ever have cause to claim again I would certainly consider using there services after the way I was treated by Direct line >:(

Churchill, Direct Line, Privelidge, NatWest, RBS and others are all owned by the RBS Group. Moving between sister companies gets you the same cover, with minor tweeks, and an introductory discount.

On the down side I have no courtesy car with DL on my policy but they inist on £16 legal cover - this proved invaluable when a Porsche Cayenne hit me and they took out a private law suit against the company car driver cos the firm wouldn't pay up - £200 per hour costs recovered too.

Been with elephant for years with 2 of our cars, till today. Reduced cover to TPFT £230.00 but when realised no windscreen cover started having a look around. £222.28 with M&S fully comp, hire car, windscreen etc. Now with M&S.
TPFT With more than £168
gocompare.com, got to be worth a look
