Need Help / Ideas For Installing PSP to Dash Vents
« on: 05 February 2008, 12:27:09 »

Hello omega boffins,

I would like some help / idea's as I want to mount my PSP onto my dash, hopefully in front of the two center air vents.

I have been looking for mounts online but not found anything I like, I am looking for something minimal that can hardly be seen and most I find are big bulky things and the grips usually cover area's like power and audio jacks!

I am thinking the best thing would be to make some bracket but when it comes to things like that I'm pretty useless.

If anyone has any idea's or can make something like this, I would really appreciate it!

I am willing to pay but I am on a limited budget.

Cheers

Richard

Thanks for the input, but I fear that the PSP is smaller in height than that bracket and therefore would be seen and I am a little unsure how the PSP would be attached? is there another component that sticks to the PSP which then locks onto the bracket?

It wouldn't be the end of the world if I had to attach something to the PSP but i'd rather not!

Just want it to clip on somehow, and I know I am asking allot here but it would be great if the bracket its self was easily removable, hence why i was looking at attaching it to the vents!

I don't want much do I!! hehe

i have that dash mount in my omega, it is a bit narrower than the PSP.

you may have to make up some sort of bracket that the PSP clips to and that attaches to the bracket, with a bit of laterla thinking i am sure it would be possible

Yeah i'm sure it would be possible, but when it comes to making things unless its a computer i'm useless!

I am still hoping to find something universal that may fit but there are that many and most look rubbish its hard!

Thanks for that I am gonna have a proper look at those later but at a glance it still seems I will need to buy or create something else to attach it to the bracket.

Why? well I just thought it would be a good idea for long journeys, it can be used for music, now you can get 8gb Memory sticks for them so you can fit plenty of tunes on it! also films and videos to keep the passengers happy!! hehe
