Replace bose setup

Hi all

I known this might sound like a crime after reading posts and seeing lots of you wanting to install BOSE SETUPS .  But i want to install my kenwood setup + ps2 had it in all car .Do i have need to remove Bose amp or can i just remove the Vx unit and fit the kenwood unit.

You need to bypass the bose amp....not hard to do either if you get the correct part from a non bose car.

You dont need a loom, in the drivers kick panel is a connector for the audio, on Bose cars the bose loom plugs into it, on non-bose cars it has a loopback connector....fit this loopback connector and it bypasses the amp.

True, but with a new head unit these are not required  :y

Just remembered, I have my MV6 one on dining room table ::) - just checked, just cd changer wires going through that plug, other than loombacks.

My Vx is a 2001 can i get loop from pre face lift or dose it have to be from face lifted mod

Don't most Kenwood HU's have line level outputs which can use the Bose amp instead of the internal one which is turned off in a menu?
I know mine does.

Bose amp input is not line level......its a higher voltage balanced output.

And the loom on pre and post faclift cars are the same and remember, they are fitted to all non bose cars.
