Having been house bound for the last month I went out to go for a drive in the car to find the battery as flat as a fart.
The car has allwats started on the 1st turn of the key as the battery has never ever been a concern, so my 1st thought was I had left something like the sidelights on when I last used it, all was ok. So I just put it down to the length of time the car had been stood and the recent weather conditions. Hit the remote lock and it had just enoug juice to lock the drivers door and that was it.
Anyways, it started 1st turn of the key with a booster battery on it and ticked over perfectly as usual.
Took it on a good run round for about an hour, pulled up at home, Turned it off and tried to restart, nothing, same as before.
Will be giving it a once over in the morning for loose battery connections etc.
I will then get the local shop to metre the battery and then to see if it's charging.
But my question is regarding the battery change should I be needing one, are there any issues with keys and radio codes etc after a change that I may need to be aware of.
After buying the car I upgraded to the cd unit but wasnt asked for a code by the guy who fitted it so am guesing that may be ok
