To wash your Mig on a "school night"? With my hours not often home at all, so Mig sits in works yard. Today, home @ 15:00hrs, sun shining, so quick wash, shammy off & wheelclean. Could've done the full bit but still looks better & usually only done @ w'ends.
Might sound obsessive but while i thought it was mucky it was the cleanest motor in the car park.
The irony is i bought it from a back st trader who got it as a repo & had'nt even hosed it down before sale.
    Dirty car = lazy owner.

not always.....

dirty car = busy owner

mine normally gets washed on the weekends when i get hime, however this weekend i have to do the following:
Replace/repair knock sensor
rocker covers and breathers
top up diff oil
oil and filter change
look at secondary water pump
take daughter to dance class
go out with friends
set up home hub unit

sleep and spend some time with the family as well

I'm in a similar position to you Jay. I love to wash the car on the weekend, it's the only possible time at this time of year, but sometimes weekends are just too short as it normally takes about 4 hours to do it thoroughly. During the week the car is parked at work all day but I have to drive through country roads to get to and from work.

I cringe every time I have to drive through those pesky muddy puddles but there you are, until they invent a device for lifting me over them I'll have to put up with a dirty car occasionally.  :(

This is why they invented the 'Car Wash' either mechanical or hand, both available in my local town, where I work.

To be honest, I have plans for this beastie, and will shortly have a couple of quid to chuck at it, meaning a weekend car, more power and a few choice chassis mods.

Thinking LS1 conv. 8-)

Gonna get meself a diseasel for commuting.

Guilty, not keen to make a special trip to spend 3 quid every 3 days as quickly as it gets dirty this time of year!  Washed it after 4 months and a week later it looked the same!

Guilty ... at the moment it's being washed 3 times a week !!!

Don't worry, the novelty is wearing off and it'll be back to the once-a-week regime .. :)

Hey thats not fair.........my car is rotten at the mo i keep going to clean her but it bloody rains. im not lazy its just trying to fit it in round my hetic lifstyle.

I rely on the rain to wash mine. Its quite easy, when its going to rain, just spray some washing up liquid all over and just leave for the downpour  ;D ;D

On a different tack, have you noticed how some cars seem to collect dirt, where as others seem to remain relatively clean?. BMW's tend to have obliterated numberplates, whereas the Miggy never seems to get that dirty.

Car now clean, but will need another going over with a sponge in my opinion.

Off out now to replace my fuel filter and a quick breather clean.

Wish me luck! ;)
