Stereo randomly goes to message mode
« on: 15 May 2008, 17:38:03 »

Cant remember which model I have but I think ccr600 rings a bell.

It will randomly switch to message mode and I get a traffic master license spiel but then it stays in message and mode and you cant do anything with it, even switch it off.
After anything between 1 hour and 1 day it will suddenly decide to let me have control back.

Any ideas or is it a case of disabling the traffic master?

Pull the stereo out, disconnect and remove traffic master loom : Done

Make sure you have the security code for the stereo and changer first.

BTW this should have been put in ICE / Electrical  :y

ooops sorry  :-[ thanks for the answer. I shall do that when I get it back. Better solution than trying to fix it whilst driving  :y

Ahhh, it all becomes clear now.

Your missus didn't bang her head on the traffic master switch as I assumed from your other post.   ;D
