Iv got a Elite 3.2 2002 just recently purchased and very pleased with it few probs but all but sorted but one prob got me beat well not really a problem the book for the sat nav says how to do the TMC channel but it comes up on the display but is dimmed out so obviously not working however i had a look on the disc on the pc and one og the config files like a INI file

Dyna = 0
wich means not operatinal as any one tried changing it to 1 as if so that should enable TMC i think
i do do a bit of programming on PC and have experience of INI/CONFIG  files but i dont know if it will damage summat on the sat nav unit are the upgrades better as there is a 2007/08 out and may have  the INI file reconfigured

There is also a Dynamic Route on the display and that is greyed  out

you may find the admins will move this to ice and electrical. Some clever chaps on there.
 Prob. being dim myself but whats tmc channel?

I've never got the TMC to work in the UK, worked a treat in France though, even came up on the CID map as a red and white dashed line on the affected road.

oh, Traffic master for the sat nav? Traffic master newer worked on previous cdx but diff. system i guess. Can anything be done with the sub. ?

In the UK, TMC is encrypted, and you have to buy a different map disk (which the decryption stuff on), which is how you 'subscribe'

The Disc i got from germany as Enabled the TMC Codes the system appears to be working but ive only found two stations that operate that is classic fm and Real Radio fm but having said that i have had no messages as yet but def looks like its operational

£38 for upgrade 2007/2008 GB/NI
updated the software as well but does not give ETA just driving time to dest
