I think the radio problem is sorted now

I pulled the radio out along with the adapter cable (traffic master) and I found a wire had been trapped somewhere . And also a pair of wires had been joined together for some reason , a soldered link on the wire to the traffic master unit .
I had another adapter but the traffic master section is a bit too short to reach so it is not plugged in .
But since then no problems at all

so I just need to extend a the traffic master section to allow it to be connected and hopefully that is another problem sorted :-/
