I had the exact same problem with my old Vectra saloon (same built into screen aerial idea). VX had no idea, best they could come up with was to smash the rear window and claim on the insurance for a new one!

Anyway, I cleaned the screen both inside and out, and disconnected then reconnected all the links I could find to do with the aerial. The links to the amplifier seemed to be the ones at fault and a quick clean up seemed to sort the problem. It's also worth checking that all earth connections are good.

I am taking it up there on Saturday, i had to hire a transit van as i aint got a tow bar on the new miggy, i tried to hire a car with a tow bar but no one does them, I should be off to Canada on Sunday but i am ringing the boss tomorrow to discuss properly, i may not go yet, i need to find out more about it, I am done with all the traveling with work.I will see what he has to say.
