CD Sat Nav upgrade
« on: 05 January 2009, 20:29:48 »

I want to upgrade the CDR2005 in my 2000 2.2 CD, I'm looking for better sound, and fitted sat nav, I keep reading different posts about the different displays  and systems available.

how good or bad is the BOSE system? I know a lot of this is down to personal taste, but for me the more it looks factory fitted the better, but saying this I have been thinking about an aftermarket double din unit with sat nav, but I'm sure that there must be better options.

which models have the BOSE system fitted, is it likely to be hiding somewhere behind my dash and just needs activating?

opinions please before I go out and buy a new Tom Tom, and leave the HU standard

for factory fit satnav, ncdc2013/5 with a gid/cid display.

bose is seperate amp, and replacemnt (and additional) speakers - fairly plug and play, but on yours, 2 holes need drilling.

CCR2006/CCRT2008/NCDC series can be set to be BOSE compatible.

ncdc works with gid (mono) or cid (colour) displays.
