which radio unit to use
« on: 26 January 2009, 21:26:57 »

I've just got hold of a 2000 w 3.0 elite estate but it had a CDR 205 VDO in it. When i took the unit out as itdid not work correctly it had normal radio con box plus two single gray leads and one black single lead. i was also told the antenna was for sat nav(bigger bottom end than normal)? I think its a GID in it as well(half size display) and it has a bose system. Which system do i use? it dose not have phone in glove box.

If you have a GID, you need a NCDC2013 or NCDC2015.

Trouble is, unless you have the carpass, you may need to replace GID as well.

just looked at the car pass and it looks like it is not for the car. How much of job does make it?

You'll need to replace the GID - we haven't found a way of unpairing the GID yet.

OK! How much do they go for and do i have to sale the house to pay for it? I may have found a ncdc2015 which they say has never been fitted to anything, or do they have to come together. If so has any one got a set and how much? The omega does sound very nice but i would like sum music now and then and it would nice to have it from the correct unit. Can any one help?

The NCDC series radios and their associated displays, particularly the colour display, are very sought after.  Expect to pay a hefty price premium to get a depaired set, or set prepaired to each other.
