i had same prob replacing an old unit on another omega . i found easiest way to replace old unit was take out centre dash which is easy

Is this stereo issue just on prefacelift??
I'm planning to remove ccr2006 and put an aftermarket stereo in my facelift?
Also plan to put steering wheel adapter for the radio.
Anyone done this?

No problem on the facelift, I have an alpine head unit single din, it still is tight behind but does fit flush, you'll also need a new housing for the new head unit if single din you'll gain a little bit more space under the unit but not much
