question for DaveDnd??
« on: 01 July 2009, 13:10:43 »

Dave I have a problem and think you are a person to ask.
Looking to put an aftermarket unit in my mig.
Was thinking of buying sony gt-700, but don't know is it compatible with steering wheel adapters?
Would you happen to know this information??

Usually I would say yes, its compatable when using the Autoleads PC99-X44 and PC99-SON

However, there are a number of units floating about that do not have the steering connection on the back of the head unit (3.5mm jack socket usually blue ringed) so its worth having a look at the rear to see if you have this. Also check through the instruction manual, look at the technical spec, and you are looking for mention of RM-X2S or RM-X4S capability which in other words means steering compatable

Thank you a lot for the info Dave.
I've checked it and it seems to be a compatible model.
