Bl***y alarm!
« on: 08 July 2009, 21:25:57 »

Thinking caps on everyone :-?. Thought my problem was fixed when I put new power sounder on. Now car alarm has activated when I used fob to unlock doors. I couldn't stop it at all :o. Must have continued for about a minute. Half way through, it decided to change tempo and added a warble to it. Tried opening and closing doors, using fob to arm and disarm alarm, turned ignition on and off. Then it silenced. So...yet again I am back to square one me thinks. Any suggestions????....Pleeeease!! :'( :y

Been okay since last Saturday. Just had to disconnect as now constantly sounding. No fun in the pitch black with just a wind up torch to illuminate! ::) I'm wondering if it has anything to do with voltage drop? Any idea's?

Quite a common problem with Cheesy Chinese radios - can only advise to pay more than 50p for your stereo, stick to a well known brand, and all should be well

Bog standard factory fitted unit (if memory serves me correctly I think its a CR700 unit). Been told that Power Sounder has to be programmed into alarm system. Does anyone know if this is a ignition on/off pressing fob in a sequence kind of diy job, or is this a dealer only loadsa money job? Not sure if worth spending more, but waste of money buying Power Sounder if I don't :-/
