Does anyone know if those rca ouputs are any good which you can buy to connect an amp to your standard vx stereo.I believe you just solder them to your rear speaker outputs,and i think i have seen them on ebay for about£4.50.Anyone ever tried em? :-/

speaker to line level dropper is what your talking about
personaly i would avoid !

ive heard a few cars with this set up and there seemed to be a fair bit of noise in the system

if you cant change the head unit for one with pre outs then i suggest use an amp with speaker level inputs

No dave,not those,i remember you told me about those not so long back.These are basically 2 pieces of wire with two rca plugs on the end,think they are selling on ebay for about £4.50.

then you will find that the original lead I suggested not only saves you having to solder the wires up, but more importantly on the Omega, it does not have the two bulky boxes that won`t fit behind the head unit.
