We are all entitled to our views, but what I should have done is qualified my comments by saying "for £80" ....

The 210 Watt Bose is designed specifically for the Omega, and for its time sounded (and still does) excellent. Where it falls a bit short nowadays is the inability to play MP3 or USB etc.

Is the Bose better than all aftermarket, no. Are all aftermarket systems better than the Bose, no. But its a hell of a system for not a lot of dosh ....

Personally I would go with the Bose, its made for the car and for most purposes its a very good setup.probably less messing about to install than an aftermarket system as well. :y

Thats my whole point. £80 gets you a Bose, but an aftermarket system which (probably) isn't as good .........

And so I do, but that is not my reason for posting that I prefer Bose, I just think it sounds better than any other sound system I have had  :)

I repair the living room ceiling (on average) once every 15 months or so due to the damage caused by the subs.

No Bose in a CDX as said, but I thought one of the upgrades from a CD to CDX was it had a seperate Amp fitted? if so could this be the problem?

There is no separate amp in a CDX - HONEST.

The CDX had a CD Autochanger fitted - but yours is missing and someone has taken the cable too, it's that cable which ironically is stopping you hearing anything at all as the speaker connections go into the cable and straight out again.

You could get a cable (as it happens I have a spare one), or for not much money get a complete Bose setup which replaces this cable totally.

Did you lift off the wheel arch inner cover as I suggested to see if the bundle of cables is there?

Regards
