The 4 disc cartridge/magazine isn't ejecting, when I press the eject button it ejects partially but not enough to pull out and it just won't come out. I can push it back in no problem. I assume the only fix would be to take the unit apart? Any ideas most welcome

sounds like the tracking arm is stuck, there should be a cog you can see, when you press the eject button see if it keeps spining, if so the belt has worn out, it happens some time, happend to my dads vectra, tuck me age's o find 1 that would fit, i pulled it out with 2 bent screw driver tips, came out ok with no damage. try that if you need the disc's.

Yes, it needs stripdown.  It can be a fiddly mechanism to deal with, and easily distorted.  If you don't feel confident, try sending off to likes of Dave DND before you damage it

That only works on the CDC2, CDC3 mechanism very different.

Ah, just seen you are only in Oxford. If you ever get up this way, I'd be happy to take a look
