Stuck Drivers Window Switch
« on: 04 February 2010, 14:58:17 »

Hi Guys

Been having a few problems with the drivers window switch in as much as you need to press it several times before it works.

Now my questions are:

Are the switches servicable ie can they be taken apart, cleaned for example and put back together.

Or is it possible easier to replace the whole unit?

Help or advice greatly appreciated.

 :)

You could try some switch cleaner on it. With power off(ign off) give it a squirt and push it a few time to try and clean inside up, let it dry, then try it.

Not had one apart so can't answer your other questions.

You may get another hour out of the switch by stripping it down, but to be honest, once they have worn out and failed, its really time to replace them.
