No. Vauxhall didn`t introduce MP3 until late 2005 on their head units, none of which compatable with the Omega.

Bummer huh !

I had to put an aftermarket MP3/Ipod player in...which in turn caused all sorts of other little problems...all sort now...at blinkin' last !

As you have an Elite, with Bose, standard replacement units won't do. If you replace the headunit, you will need to rip out the bose speakers and amp.

Best option is wired FM modulator, which will give you an aux input  :y

Hi, so if i did but in a totally new MP3 player head unit - say a sony one.
I would have to disconnect all speakers?
Wouldn't it just be plug and play?

If you have BOSE in the car, then NO, it is not plug and play, as the amp is non compatable, and the speakers are 2 Ohm which will blow the head unit. Remove the BOSE amp and change the speakers, rewire the car accordingly, and you will then be OK.

If you do not have BOSE, then yes, plug and play.

If you're going to that effort, at least fit a decent radio. Which rules out anything made rebadged by Sony ;)
